My first attempt at some astrophotography. Only 5x45 second exposures of M51 at prime focus. I only processed this in November when I was looking back through the old images and was pleasantly surpised how it had turned out. At the time of writing this (27 Nov 2009) I am determined to get some good images of M51 by using eyepiece projection to increase the resolution and longer exposures under good conditions.
